Grant for Japan-Related Research Project

In fiscal 2010, the Sumitomo Foundation plans to make :

1. Grant for Japan-Related Research Projects
Research projects carried out by East and Southeast Asian researchers (individuals or groups) in social sciences or the humanities which are related to Japan.
Application Period: September 1-October 31’ 2010 (application in English/Japanese)

2. Grant for Projects for the Protection, Preservation & Restoration of Cultural Properties outside Japan
a.Projects for the protection,preservation & restoration of cultural properties (fine arts or historical monuments) outside Japan which are tangible, old and artistically or academically valuable and ought to be handed down to future generations.
b.Preliminary surveys immediately linked up with the projects in (1) above.
Application Period: October 1-November 30’2010 (application in English/Japanese)

3. Grant for Projects for the Protection, Preservation & Restoration of Cultural Properties in Japan
Application Period : October 1-November 30’2010 (application in Japanese)
4.  Grant for Environmental Research Projects
Application Period : April 15-June 30’2010 (application in Japanese)
5.  Grant Basic Science Research Projects
Application Period : April 15-June 30’2010 (application in Japanese)
